Another painting hanging behind Sam’s head in our third comic page is based on an American folk art print that Sara’s parents gave her:
They picked it up at a flea market or something years ago.
The final picture in that comic is from a photo I took last May:
For my mom’s 60th birthday, my dad flew me, Sara, Rob (my brother) and Surabhi (Rob’s wife) to their place in Philadelphia. Kathy (our sister) picked us up from the airport and snuck us into the house. When our mom came downstairs, we popped out from the kitchen and suprised her.
That visit was the last time we saw Oliver:
